Every SpreadTheArt print is made to order — produced specifically for you after you buy. This policy explains when you can cancel, what happens if a print arrives damaged or misprinted, and how to reach us.

1. Made-to-order prints

Because each print is produced on demand for your order, we cannot accept generic “change of mind” returns the way a retailer holding stock can. Once a print is submitted for production it cannot be resold to another customer. The protections below focus on getting you a correct, undamaged print rather than restocking one.

2. Cancelling an order

You can cancel an order for a full refund before it is submitted for production. After production has been submitted to our fulfillment partner, the order can no longer be cancelled because work on your print has begun.

If you need to cancel, contact us as soon as possible (see Section 6) with your order number. We will confirm whether production has already started.

3. Damaged, defective, or misprinted items

If your print arrives damaged, defective, or does not match what you ordered (for example, a misprint, the wrong size, or a production flaw), we will make it right with a free replacement or, where a replacement is not possible, a refund.

To qualify, please:

  • Contact us within 30 days of delivery;
  • Include your order number and a photo clearly showing the damage or defect;
  • Keep the item and its packaging until your claim is resolved.

Replacements are produced and shipped at no additional cost to you. You do not need to pay return shipping for a damaged or misprinted item.

4. Lost or undelivered shipments

If tracking shows your order was not delivered, or it appears lost in transit, contact us and we will investigate with the carrier and our fulfillment partner. Confirmed lost shipments are replaced or refunded. Orders returned to sender because of an incorrect or incomplete shipping address may require you to cover reshipment; please double-check your address at checkout.

5. How refunds are issued

Approved refunds are issued to your original payment method through Stripe, our payment processor. Once approved, refunds typically post within a few business days, though the exact timing depends on your bank or card issuer. Shipping charges are refunded when the entire order is being refunded for a fault on our side.

6. How to contact us

For any cancellation, replacement, or refund request, email support@spreadtheart.com with your order number (shown on your confirmation and in your receipt email) and a short description of the issue. We aim to respond promptly and will let you know the next steps.

7. Your statutory rights

Nothing in this policy limits any non-waivable rights you may have under applicable consumer-protection law. Where local law grants broader cancellation or refund rights for a given purchase, those rights apply.
